Activist Investors in German and Swiss media

-  Activist investors with increasing presence in German and Swiss media
-  Elliott and Cevian lead the pack - and are viewed critically by journalists

 

The influence of activist investors is growing in listed companies. Activist investors are becoming increasingly popular with the media. Between January 2016 and October 2018, media coverage increased by 43 percent. UNICEPTA’s analysis of German and Swiss leading media reveals journalists are critical of activist investors, but nevertheless accept their statement that the end of conglomerates is near.
